What have I been up to this week? Well, it’s the week the kids went back to school, and they seem to have done pretty well, really, even if they are faintly vibrating when we pick them up. I’m profoundly grateful that they are both settled in with new teachers. I’m also quite pleased with a quiet house.

I’m grateful that people are being patient with me at work—lots of us have new job titles, so there has been a certain amount of this:

I’m grateful for a tidy house, my first judo session in ages (thank you, boys, for welcoming me back!), time to get on the bike, and a bit of retro gaming. I also finally got to play with the power supply that I got for Father’s Day and set up a slightly less amateurish soldering station. I’m pleased I got to fix a bunch of things that had been bothering me: new locks for the house (I’ve lost too many keys recently) and garage (we NO longer have to bang on the door to open it, which can only be a relief for the neighbours), fixing toys, and generally hanging out.

I’ve liked watching Ludwig. Leo’s favourite thing of the week was “getting Skittles”, and Nova’s was “assembly sass”. Kat’s favourite thing of the week was Leo telling their off for poor communication.
